Joyce, I know what you mean; one inspiration in my career was attending the first Winnipeg Folk Fest, the event dedicated to a S.American singer who, it was said, had been assassinated while singing on stage, a folk singer, considered so much a threat to the dictatorship they would execute him before thousands of fans. That's power.

And so it goes...but not without a poke and and a prod and some discomfort from the songsters! After all, music is one of the most influential mediums we have to make change - even if it's to make people sit up and have to face the "music"
