Can't resist a bit of self-promotion of my grand evil plan to defeat the RIAA by cutting off their air-supply at the root: I learned of DMusic because of Joe at boycott-riaa and when I found this site, hoo-wee this is exactly the sort of endpoint I want at the leaf-nodes of my network! Bravo, long may you run.

An excerpt from today's blog post about how DMusic fits into my grand evil plan:

DMusic is the same intent as my One-Track network, namely to work around the immorality Fripp notes, but our plan is not to be a centralized repository of the music, only of the meta-data about the recordings. We would only trade in the news originating from artist blogs and sites like DMusic, hooking the sources to the audience by way of the RSS/ping technologies.

So, for example, every time dmusic had a new submission, the story about that submission would go into your RSS, then that would be picked up by my network and propagated through the other hubs by RSS aggregators, filtered into genre, region or whatever. Someone with an R&B/Soul personal interest might subscribe to the aggregated feed and thus this announcement of the new Lester Chambers track (fab!) would appear on that fan's website to be clicked on by their audience.
